The German-French Academy for Industry of Future offers a unique setting between two of the best higher education institutions with Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Germany, and Institut Mines-Télélcom (IMT) in France, and multiple of the most relevant industrial companies in the two countries.
What are the strength of current teaching formats? What can be improved? How can teaching be more efficient? What are similarities between learning in companies and engineering schools or universities? How can we support a lifelong learning? These are some of the questions we look at.
The current focus of the educational activities is on Summer and Winter schools, and on so-called Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC). For the schools, the GFA foster the implementation of new methodologies for providing even better learning experiences. Especially under the unprecedented COVID-19 confinements, many innovative online formats were developed. For the MOOCs, the GFA focuses on key technologies required by our partner companies, including the Industrial Internet, and Blockchain.
In addition to concrete training materials, the GFA works on guidelines for high quality digital teaching assets. Concrete measures are the MOOC development handbook, and guidelines towards highly successful schools. Both are currently under development.
The GFA enables lifelong learning around the Industry 4.0. From pupils to students to professionals and even retired people: everyone can benefit from the GFA’s blended learning courses. Join us today!
