The brain behind Industry 4.0
As a broad branch of computer science, Artificial Intelligence (AI) makes it possible for machines or systems to automatically solve problems or perform tasks where human intelligence or knowledge would be required. Like a human brain, AI technologies based on algorithms and on large amounts of data have processing, learning, recognising, visionig, classifying or even decision-making capabilities.
Applied AI and intelligent technologies play a major role in industry 4.0 and contribute largely to improve the performance of companies. Wether for optimised and automated quality control, for predictive maintenance or traceability of a product, AI provide solutions in each step of the industrial processes.
In september 2020, the Academy joined the official French-German network for AI following the renewed Aachen Treaty.
